Nicholas Courtney, best known for playing Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart (more simply just referred to as 'the Brigadier') on Doctor Who, has passed away.
It's from 'Battlefield', a 7th Doctor episode that just happens to be my all time favorite Who episode. It also is the Brigadier's swan song on the show. When The Brigadier faces off against the Destroyer, we get this exchange:
The Destroyer: "Ah... little man. What do you want of me?" Brigadier: "Get off my world!" The Destroyer: "Pitiful. Can this world do no better than you as their champion?" Brigadier: "Probably. I just do the best I can."
I'm only familiar with the newWho, but I think I'll see if I can Netflix some of the older stuff he was in.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the title quote from?
